It's almost 11pm Sunday and somehow I managed to spend most of my weekend writing code without feeling like I spent my entire weekend writing code.
That's a win.
Spent a bunch of time working on GhostMind. Agents, system awareness, audio generation, infrastructure, and a growing pile of other pieces that are starting to make the original idea feel a hell of a lot less theoretical.
The important part is making sure all this work eventually translates back into Terminal Ghost.
GhostMind was always supposed to be more than a pile of scripted responses pretending to be intelligent. It needs to understand what's happening, make decisions, use tools, remember things, react to what the player is doing, and eventually become the thing actually running the world behind the curtain.
Turns out the best way to figure out how to build that is to just start building the damn thing.
And somehow this wasn't one of those weekends where I disappeared into a terminal and resurfaced Sunday night wondering where everybody went. I spent plenty of time with VantaQueen too. Coding when I wanted to code. Hanging out when I wanted to hang out.
Oh yeah. I also opened OBS this morning and streamed Salvage Run on Twitch.
First stream in about three months, and instead of coming back by playing somebody else's game, I spent an hour showing off one we built.
That's pretty damn cool.
Productive weekend.
Relaxing weekend.
Apparently those two things aren't mutually exclusive.
