The next seven days are going to be... different.

I start the new job on the 27th. Happy birthday, KhaoticRage. That's one hell of a way to remember your birthday every year.

VantaQueen is taking one of the kids camping. I was supposed to go, but I couldn't shake the feeling of leaving Hannibal with a dog sitter he'd only met once. Maybe I'm overthinking it. Maybe he's just finally trained me instead of the other way around.

So it'll just be me, Hannibal, Dax the Magnificent, and Wicket the Asshole. That probably means a lot of code getting written and finally watching the movies Vanta rolls her eyes at whenever I suggest them.

I'm also still second guessing my decision to leave HostGator after more than a decade. Hostinger has been... an experience. Some days I think I made the right call. Other days Hostinger decides to remind me I apparently enjoy unnecessary stress.

Neon Chain keeps gaining momentum. Analytics are finally starting to look like actual players instead of me refreshing dashboards. v1.6 is underway, and I've started sketching out my entry for the 1.44MB Challenge. I don't really care if it wins. I just like the idea of seeing what kind of game I can cram onto a floppy disk in 2026.

The important thing is Vanta stocked the fridge before she leaves.
